i dont get holden. at times, he is a typical, cynical, rebellious teenager. but at other times, he acts polite and kind. he has values and he cares about other people. like how he feels bad that he got kicked out of schools. he feels bad when the gifts that he gets end up not suiting him. also he buys the record for his sister just for the heck of it.
